Coach Louise and Coach Julie

Dear blog reader,

Coach Louise began this blog with the intention that it be a place to share stories, ask questions, get support in a safe place of understanding and compassion, as well as a source for information on the topic of infertility, miscarriage, treatments etc. I am so excited to be taking over the administration of the blog and continuing on the mission of supporting you on your unique fertility journey. If you’d like to know more about me and what I offer, please click About Julie or visit Whole Vision Coaching. I’m so glad you’re here. Most importantly, I really want you to understand that you are not alone and this part of your adventure does not define who you are.

Having experienced the frustrations of unexplained infertility personally, I recognize that the experience can be isolating when the people around you don’t necessarily understand what you are going through. It is also often the first crisis couples come up against where there is really no control over the outcome. I want to connect with you and give you as much support as possible to lead a life full of joy and balance no matter the outcome of your pursuit of parenthood. I can also help to guide you and propose different alternatives that you might not have considered yet from a purely objective point of view.

Ultimately, I can offer you a space like a comfy sofa that you can fall into to feel comforted and reassured and so much more while on this unexpectedly challenging journey.

With love,
Coach Julie

Tips for the New Year to Cleanse, Detox and Bring Vitality to your Body!

welcoming health and vitality!

welcoming health and vitality!

I mentioned yesterday that I joined a teleclass 8 day cleanse yesterday that I wrote about, that I think will be very supportive physically and emotionally. Its not too late for you to join either, its free, and they have recordings of all the calls if the time difference is an issue! I highly recommend it because there is so much value in the calls.

The host Skip Lackey from http://www.thejourney.com mentioned a drink that you can easily make up, that is very supportive to the body and helpful with detoxing.

and you gradually add the ingredients over days….

In the morning when you get up take:

a glass of water (room temp)
plus fresh squeeze of lemon juice,
plus pinch of mineral or sea salt (NOT your normal table salt),
plus pinch of cayenne pepper,
plus pinch of grated ginger,
and B grade maple syrup or a little honey if you like a little bit of sweet.
(and mix it all up)

The other tip which is an easy one, is just increase your water intake during the day as we are all generally dehydrated to some degree or other – this will help to give your body what it needs and flush out toxins. If you can don’t drink anything from 30min before a meal or during a meal and for at least 40mins after a meal, so your digestive juices aren’t diluted – digestion becomes a lot more effective.

To your health and fertility success for 2009!

Endless possibilities…

I just found an interesting article I’d like to share with you, discussing a wonderful clinic that is one of the world leaders in offering more to couples in regards to donor egg treatment and a much more inexpensive  program with very high standards of treatment.   I can imagine that that is true, as my own experience of doctors in South Africa has always been fantastic.  Here is the link to find out more about this clinic and what they offer….happy reading!

Invitation to my radio show tomorrow – my fellow infertility bloggers.

The power of energy...

The power of energy…

Hi All,

Its been really interesting and  wonderful how some of our dear bloggers have been getting onto the idea of how positive thinking can help them on their journey in regards to infertility.  For example  MysticMiss, and Shaz to name a few!  Anyway I love this subject and particularly in learning the science behind positive thinking, Law of Attraction, energy or vibration, whatever you want to call it.  Its very powerful and amazing to practice.

Tomorrow evening I am honored to be interviewing the well-known author Michael Losier who wrote ‘Law of Attraction- The Science of Getting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don’t’.  This is a great little book that really helps to simplify the Law of Attraction theory, as well as giving clear action steps on how to implement it in your life!

I would like to extend the invitation to any of you who might be curious about this subject and might want to learn more, or for those of you who already are fans and would like to have the opportunity to pose a question or comment on the subject to Michael.

The show is at 7pm EST (- 5hr GMT) and you can access it online at www.blogtalkradio.com/KeystoClarity-coach   Note the call- in number on the screen if you would like to participate in the conversation.  Of if you would like to participate in the online chatroom, register on www.blogtalkradio.com and you’re in!

I hope you will join me!

abundantly yours,

Coach Louise

How to determine the quality of your eggs or sperm!

baby-in-vitro

Hi folks,

This is such a big question, but in truth there is a lot you can do improve the quality of either eggs or sperm!   It takes 3 months for follicles to mature into eggs, and also the same time for sperm to develop ready for ejaculation.    So it stands to reason that you want to give yourself at least a few months before you start seriously trying to fall pregnant to take care of things on your end!

Discovery Health did a recent documentary on men drinking a mix of fruit and veg smoothies twice a day for a few months, and the quality of their sperm increased dramatically.  These men were chosen as they were not successfully creating a pregnancy with their partner, and this was because their sperm was not up to scratch.   So even making that simple change can make the world of difference.   Often individuals, women and men included are not getting enough minerals and nutrients through their diet,  so this is a great place to start looking at how you can influence the outcome of fertility issues.

Minerals are also really important, so nuts like Brazil nuts are great because of zinc and selenium for men to produce healthy sperm.  Men, and women, need folic acid, so choose lot of green leafy vegetables to put into your smoothies, or juicing.   (if you’re juicing, which incidentally I love, make sure you are taking in enough fibre during the day, as juicing would not be enough)   Make sure you are mixing vegies and fruit as you want a really good mix of nutrients.  By the way asparagus has lots of folic acid!

I am by no means an expert but from my own experience and from all the reading and research I do, this seems to be a great platform to start from.

To add to the mix, do a little exercise too.  Don’t go crazy, and don’t do it in fits and starts – if you do that, it can potentially do more damage than good.   Fit regular exercise into your routine that gets the blood circulating.  Like walking or swimming.   For women, hard exercise is going to detract from the fertility process, so make sure you are moving but make it gentle.

Let me know how you get on!  Ultimately what this says to me, is rthat we really need to take good care of ourselves first!  Nature’s way of preparing us for taking good care of the little ones we will bring into this world!  And that we are able to do something before we resort to other methods and extremes.  Good luck!

Warmly,

Coach Louise

A Key to creating peace and tranquility through the Holidays!

puddle

Hi All my Fertile Wannabes (myself included!)

Marcia Wieder, America’s Dream Coach just sent out her monthly Dreamzine and I was pleasantly surprised to hear the revelation she had while on a very recent Vision Quest, which gave her great insight to achieving peace.  Even though the article is not relevant to Infertility per se, its message is still powerful, and very pertinent to our journey!  I encourage you to read it!  Just click the link to my www.keystoclaritycoach.wordpress.com and you will get the full story there!  Enjoy!  (sit down and have a cup of tea!)

Peacefully yours,

Coach Louise

Coping tips through the Holidays! on LBF Radio with Louise today 4pm EST.

Giving Thanks...

Giving Thanks…

Hi my dear LBF lovelies,

Today on my radio show LBF / LifeBalanceinFertility, I am discussing how we can take care of ourselves, protect ourselves and manage ourselves and interactions with family and friends during the holiday season.  It has already started here in the US, next week with Thanksgiving and then parties and outings hot up everywhere through Christmas and New Year.  Lots of social gatherings where ‘foot in mouth’ and innocent but insensitive questions or comments abound.  Lets talk about how we can manage these situations, hopefully without having to remove ourselves completely!  Afterall we also want to have fun, don’t we?!

You can tune in on www.blogtalkradio.com/KeystoClarity-Coach .  On the screen you will see a phone-in number if you would like to participate by asking a question or commenting on the topic.  I would love to talk you!    If you would like to participate in the chat room during the call (which is rather fun) register with www.blogtalkradio.com (very easy) first and then go to my profile.

Please rate the show afterwards, as this lets others walking the same path as you, know if it was worth a listen!

For those of you who can’t make it, you can go to the same link and listen to archived podcasts.  I wish you all joyful and relaxed holidays!

Warmly,

Coach Louise
